"Gus and his nerdy buddies, Richie and Clark, are scouted by a millionaire nerd, Mel, who wants to form a baseball team and compete with the meanest Little League teams in the state. A stellar ballplayer, Gus becomes a role model for nerds and outcasts everywhere. But when his fans learn that Gus, himself, was once a school bully, they feel outraged and betrayed."

It sounds like a crappy re-remake of Bad News Bears, but without the hilarious alcohol abuse that Billy Bob Thorton brought to it. I know the guy hasn't been in many big movies, but you'd think he'd spend a few years making GOOD flicks with GOOD actors/actresses before lowering himself down to the level of washouts like Rob Schneider and David Spade.

I was wondering about that movie because Jon Heder's character looks and sounds remarkably like Napoleon Dynamite too.

Billy Bob who? Try Walter Matthau. Modern versions of classic movies are awful.

Napoleon Dynamite was a hit. He was big and popular (still is I suppose), and had the opportunity to get into real movies. Instead, he's opted for a simple paycheck, doing crap flicks with other washouts who aren't good enough to get parts in decent movies.

I don't think you're more qualified to make his movie choices than HE is.

Do you really think he'd actually prefer to be in this movie than a better one? Maybe the rolls aren't flowing like he'd hope. Maybe he's just trying to make some cash. Maybe everyone wants him to be like Napoleon Dynamite in every movie.

Unless you've read every script he's been given to be in you can't really blame him.

aint the point to get paid? Its not like Napoleon Dynamite was this icon of a movie. it was just a movie that did ok.

I thought this movie actually looked pretty funny. I'm looking forward to it.

Of course Nacho Libre is the number one movie I'm looking forward to at the moment.

Are you surprised that someone who starred in such a terrible film like ND would resort to working with Rob Schneider?

ND was obviously a terrible attempt to rip off a Wes Anderson film that only gained cult status because of the MTV backing it received. He seemed like a one trick pony in the film and after tracking down the trailer for this new one it only further drives that nail home.

Sellout = Go from greatness to suckhood.

While ND made me laugh alot and all, I dont consider it a great movie. Now if he starred in major movies (The Godfather, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Scarface, etc.) then made this movie, he'd be a sell out.
