Well we've discovered the answer to the major recent American political question of "Just how crazy does someone have to be to be too conservative for even Republicans". The answer is, Glenn Beck crazy.

The Republican party didn't leave Beck, Beck left the Republican party. There may still be more crazy to go.

More seriously, this seems to be a recent problem with one party having majority control. The Democrats absolutely imploded in 2008 after they gained control of both houses. The Blue Dogs and the Liberals made it impossible for the party to have a cohesive message, much less clean and coherent legislation. Now the Republicans are facing the same issue. Maybe it'll be Beck alone but, who knows, maybe leaving the party may become the Tea Party's version of Texas' secession threats.
