Joining two independent network questions

I'm really good friends with my neighbors at my apt complex and we both have extensive media collections and wanted to be able to share with each other. We also both have multiple gaming computers and want to play LAN games.

However, since we both have individual internet we are running into some problems. Sometimes the computers on my network receive IP address from his router and vice-versa. This happens to some of the computers even though they are connect to our wireless router.

Is there anyway to force the computers to be on one network. And still be able to share media and play games?

The network on the right is 192.187.1.xxx and the network on the left is 192.168.0.xxx .

That is the way we have it set up now, except the computer that accomplishes the bridge is my gaming computer and uses way TOO much power for me to want to leave it on 24/7 when the media/backup server is up 24/7 already.

However we are still running into the problem where some of the computers on my network are getting an IP from the other network and using their internet instead of the one at our apt.

So what i want to is just connect the two switches together which I've been told should work the same as the bridge (correct?)

Thanks!

You can not connect switch to switch and maintain two independent Networks.

The second connection from the computer with the two Networks cards has to go directly to the other person switch and not to any connection on your Network, assigne to it a static IP that is of the same subnet as the second Network..

Make sure that the rest of the cards on each network use the DHCP and gateway of their respective Router.

Switch the Bridge On only after each thing is correctly configure.

This page talks about USB Bridge but it basically the same for regular NIC.
