Hello,
I'd like to offer my computer in service to Team Anandtech, preferably in the area of medical sciences. How do I go about doing this?

Thanks

Hey Oxaqata, welcome to the DC forum!!

Well there are a number of medical sciences projects, but the one that most of us seem to prefer is Rosetta at home http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/

You need to go to the site and register on it, download the Boinc software, install it and attatch to the project by entering the project url in the boinc program. And after you've got it all going, you go to your profile on the Rosette site and select TeAm AnandTech to join.

Plz ask if something is unclear or if there's something else you'd like to know. :D

Welcome to the TeAm Oxaqata :)

I guess the first thing you need to do is figure out which project you'd like to try. Then some one can help you out better.
Have a look at the Welcome Thread stickied to the top of the DC forum for a list of projects(Life Sciences = medical).

If you have any questions about any of the projects, just ask & we can help you.

Great news! All you need to do now is sit back and crunch away!! :D

You'll show up in the stats after you've returned you're first results. ;)

Welcome!

yes, it should do great in Rosetta, however the RAM is pretty limited, but it shouldn't affect much since Rosetta lowered the specs recently.

Run an optimized client if you want to get decent benchmarks for that system.
