I just started listening to his stuff. His cover of Hurt is great... does he have any more music along the lines of that song?

Johnny Cash is one of the few "country" artists I can listen to. The guy was an absolute badass and played by his own rules.

I took a shot of cocaine and shot my woman down,
I went right home and I went to bed,
I put that lovin 44 beneath my head"

I was totin my pack along the long dusty Winnamucka road
When along came a semi with a high canvas covered load
If your goin' to Winnamucka, Mack with me you can ride
And so I climbed into the cab and then I setteled down inside

And I said, "Listen! I've traveled every road in this here land!"

The Wanderer

I went out wandering
through streets paved with gold
lifted some stone saw the skin and bones
of a city without a soul
I went out wandering
under an atomic sky
where the ground won't turn
and the rain it burns
like the tears when I said goodby

Yeah I left with nothing
nothing but the thought of you
I went wandering

I went drifting
through the capitals of tin
where men can't walk or freely talk
and sons turn their fathers in
Yeah I went out walking
down that old Lake Lane
I passed by a thousand signs
Just a looking for my own name

Yeah I left with nothing
nothing but the thought of you
I went wandering

Yeah I went out there in search of experience
to tast and to touch and to feel as much
as a man can before he repents

I went walking
looking for one good man
a spirit who would not bend or break
who would stand at his father's right hand
I went out walking with a Bible and a gun
the word of God lay heavy on my heart
I was sure I was the one
Now Jesus don't you wait up
Jesus I'll be home soon
Yeah I went out for the paper
Told her I'd be back by noon

Yeah I left with nothing
Nothing but the thought of you
I went wandering

Yeah I left with nothing
But the thought you'd be there too
I went wandering

Yeah, I like all his classics like I Walk the Line, Give My Love to Rose, Folsum Prison Blues, and all that. However, one song of his that isn't famous that I really like is that one song he did with Dave Matthews for the We Were Soldiers Soundtrack. It's called "For You."

Another song of his that's really good is "25 Minutes to Go" told from a first person perspective of a man about to be hanged. Man, Cash was so dark, I love it.

I'm getting swallowed by a Boa Constrictor
By a Boa Constrictor by a Boa Constrictor
I'm getting swallowed by a Boa Constrictor and I don't like snakes one bit
What do you know he's swallowed my toe oh gee he's up to my knee
Oh my he's up to my thigh oh yummy he's up to my tummy
Oh fiddle he's up to my middle oh glum he's mashing my lungs
Now look here snake I don't look good with this long tail on me
It's all about I can say sneak except give me a break sneak
My torso's cold and it's startin' to mould Boa Constrictor how much can you hold
Oh yes he's up to my chest oh heck he's up to my neck
Nearly all in he's up to my chin oh dread he's swallowed my...excuse me
