Download the cover of "Hurt" by Johnny Cash. It's cool.

Actually, it sounds creepy.

He sounds like a pathetic old man in the song.

use a P2P network. I think it's a bootleg so it's legit.

It's not a bootleg, I believe it's on his new CD. It's a collection of covers.

Johnny Cash has done a whole lot of living and he's awesome in concert.

And? I didn't say he isn't the legend everyone makes him out to be, but singing that particular song it makes him sound like an old, pathetic, broken human being. It doesn't have the same emotion that Trent Reznor had when he did it originally.

That's a very fitting song for Cash to sing. He was a LONG time drug addict and the words of the song fit his life like a glove.

Yes, he sounds like a broken old man in the song... but that's the whole POINT of his singing it.

Before you diss "The Man in Black," KIM that Trent Reznor wouldn't have any kind of career if not for the likes of Johnny Cash, who paved the way long before Reznor was even an itch in somebody's pants.

BTW: Be interesting to see what kind of "pathetic old man" Reznor turns out to be when he is Cash's age.

WTF is your problem? I was merely expressing my impression of the man when he sings this song. Maybe you can show me where I said that he didn't pave the way and inspire many musicians.

Guess if someone's not overindulgent, they are somehow lacking in emotion

Johnny Cash has one of those Ted Kennedy Poofy heads.

The man has a huge dome.

And sorry, Cash's career has nothing to do with Nin's. Sure, they're both "rebels" but so was elvis, Chuck Berry and about a zillion other people. If you're going to make a meaningful connection to someone in the past, it'd have to be the likes of Bowie or Sabbath or Eno or Kraftwerk or Alice Cooper.

The song itself is cool, I'd say. But whoever said he doesn't do it with as much emotion as nin is absolutely correct. I mean, there have been like 3454435 versions of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide", and I won't argue about which one is "best", but that is Stevie Nicks' song, and no one can sing it with as much emotion as her.

But man...what's with the PoofyHead (c) 2002? Exactly how many drugs do you have to do before your dome looks like a Macy's float?
