Johnny Cash - Hurt

Damn Cash must really have struck gold his version of hurt as I've never witnessed so many repost regarding the same subject as I have of this one.

BTW, I really like it.

Kinda, I guess. Like I've said in other threads, it really just resonates - the sound isn't really country or folk, just depressing. The music video really hits home as well.

The original was great, but hearing it from Cash somehow makes it hit harder.

Talk about taking a song and making it your own...

JOHNNY CASH KICKS MUCH ASS!!!!

BTW: I like Cash's version more and more every time I hear it.

Speaking of Country-ish songs, how about the duet between Kid Rock & Sheryl Crowe?

Hmmm niether of them are the slightest bit country. Since I haven't heard the song I'm gathering it had a twang or two in it.

Actually, the song is "Picture." The video is on the following page:

I like it, but I still prefer the NIN version.
Well hopefully Cash's version of this song will resuscitate Reznors career from the old R&R bone yard.

Between his studio, and the work he's doing for video games, I don't think his career is hurting. Though I do remember reading in PC Gamer that he decided to stop doing NIN stuff for a while...

damn, i thought you were reporting that Johnny Cash got Hurt. shows you how much i know about him.

actually i read his book, Man in Black a long time ago. in it he claims that he wrote Elvis's song Blue Suede Shoes.
