John Wick spin off film.

The ballerina that danced till she was exhausted for Angelica Houston in Jw3 was an actual ballerina.
In this Ballerina movie, she is replaced by hottie Ana de Armas as the ballerina assassin.

I would have liked to see the original ballerina reprise her role.

With Ana de Armas, i'm thinking of her laughable fight scene in James Bond.
And with her short dark hair, she seems like a Le Femme Nikita copy if she's going to play an assassin.

Chloë Grace Moretz (Hitgirl from Kickass) was also eyed as a candidate for the Ballerina Assassin role.

That would be as bad as Ana de Armas.
Now we're going to be making comparisons of her as Hitgirl and maybe tie in with the Kickass universe.

ie: After the events of Kickass, 14yr old Hitgirl found her way to Angelica Houston's ballerina studio.

Hell, if we going to do that, might as well do a tie in with Leon the Professional with Daisy Ridley (Star Wars VII-IX) as the little assassin who found her way to Angelica Houston's ballerina studio.

Daisy Ridley would have been great since it would be a double tie in because Natalie Portman was the little assassin in Leon and her predecessor in Star Wars.

Hmm....one of the things that was great about the John Wick movies was the fight\gun choreography which was only as fantastic as it was from Keanu's effort. There's very few actors, if any, that could bring the same level of skill to a movie. I mean it will probably be fine and make them money but I suspect this is going to fall into the 'feels like every other generic action movie' category

That was my internal and unexpressed impression. I accept the legitimacy of the choreography argument. The only problem I have you're getting a bit into the weeds - the question is how much, from the POV of an average fan. And of that, I have no idea.
