I'm not saying whether I'm a believer or not. Hell, even if he is just a college kid playing a prank, the guy had some insight for making these statements several years back (December 6th, 2000):

Does the current relationship between Arabs and Jews have anything to do with the coming war?

Real disruptions in world events begin with the destabilization of the West as a result of degrading US foreign policy and consistency. This becomes apparent around 2004 as civil unrest develops near the next presidential election. The Jewish population in Israel is not prepared for a true offensive war. They are prepared for the ultimate defense. Wavering western support for Israel is what gives Israel's neighbors the confidence to attack. The last resort for a defensive Israel and its offensive Arab neighbors is to use weapons of mass destruction. In the grand scheme of things, the war in the Middle East is a part of what's to come, not the cause.

Civil unrest during this election, charges of voter fraud in Ohio looming, Arafat on his deathbed, Iran pursuing nuclear weapons, GWB getting re-elected...? I guess we'll find out in 2005, the year a civil war in the US is supposed to break out.

Though I don't believe in him, I find the John Titor predictions fascinating, and whoever cooked the whole saga up is pretty clever IMO.

IIRC he also predicted mass disruption and death from the Y2K bug, in a fax he sent Art Bell in 1998.

Not only goths think the US is going fascist. Many Americans and even more people around the world think the US is or is turning into the Empire from star wars.

Is he updating his site and then backdating predictions? Has somebody backed the entire thing up somewhere? If he did send that fax about y2k, well there goes johntitor, but I do find his stuff fascinating all the same (even if it is bunk, which it is).

No, he didn't. He mentioned all the hoopla over the Y2K bug and asked what we thought the reason was for no major issues from it. (hinting that time travelers fixed it).

I posted this in another thread....gonna repost it here because you aren't worthy of my typing in a new response.....it doesn't fit this thread 100% but it's close enough.....

What I am SICK of is people like you, jpeyton, etc, etc, etc.....claiming that there is some grand conspiracy. You just won't accept that your side lost. Oh sure, you want to blame Bush for dividing the county, but the people that are TRULY dividing the country are the hate filled left who cannot face the reality that they are out of step with the vast majority of the country. Maybe their mommies breast fed them too long, who knows....whatever the case the left I see on here are nothing more than a collection of spoiled brats who pitch a hissy fit every time something doesn't go their way. Surely there has to be some sort of conspiracy since your side didn't win. Waaaaah waaaaah waaaaah!!! There are still people here who refuse to admit Gore lost in 2000. No matter that independent recount, after recount after recount showed that to be the fact. Now those same people are whining about Kerry losing even though it was by a much wider margin. When will you accept the fact that your guy lost, get over it, and move on?

No, he isn't. I found the initial threads about Titor on the art bell BBS using archive.org (which went under shortly before he "left" and he continued posting on timetravelinstitute.com). Unfortunately, while this confirms the date and topics of the threads, the archive.org spider doesn't actually go INTO the threads.

That was a tabloid story that was on Yahoo! in their more creative news section. Titor appeared on a BBS back in 2000.
