John Rhys-Davies' crazy filmography

Queasy

I've been noticing John Rhys-Davies (Gimli in LOTR, Sallah in Indiana Jones) in just about all the crap movies that the Sci-Fi channel is showing lately. His filmography is seriously weird. He's in a lot of laughably bad films like Chupacabra: Dark Seas, Dragon Storm, Sabretooth, and Never Say Never Mind: The Swedish Bikini Team

He must have some bad debt or something because it looks like he'll take any role in any film.

That, or he's really into those cheesy films. Not all actors go for the big money -- some do it out of the sheer pleasure of the content. 😛

Yeah, I'm sure there's great "content" in the Swedish Bikini Team movie. 🙂

I liked him in the early Sliders episodes.

ditto. Did they ever make it back? Cuz I remember once they had like a 5 minute jump back to their original world but when they did the picket fence test, they jumped again only to have the mother step out of the house and say the fence was repaired.

They got replaced with scrubs and the series went to hell in a handbasket.

I think the Rembrandt Brown was the only one to stick it out.

Being in 120 movies and TV series is a successful career for a character actor.

He's been one of my favorite character actors since I first really noticed him in the first Indiana Jones movie. But this run of straight to SciFi channel D-List movies is bizarre. Seriously, have you seen Dragon Storm or Sabretooth? Horribly bad. The only thing missing is a silhouette of Tom Servo, Crow, and Joel at the bottom of the screen.
