i thought the movie was way too cheesy. it seemed to have great story potential, but some scenes were so cheesy, IMO.

remember when the crowd was gathered outside the hospital? the whole scene looked very unbelievable, IMO. i actually remembered a female cop was holding up a gun, elbows on her patrol car, like she was praying or something. she was holding her gun so limp wristed that i actually burst out laughing when i saw that.

when the hospital "hostages" were spilling their hearts about the wrongs of America....that was so contrived, IMO. They might as well have pulled out typed out essays they wrote for Government 101 and read them out loud.

denzel washington did a good job, and i think that was the only bright part of the movie. the movie had a great premise, that i wanted to like it....but it was just so silly
