Dang RIP, his bits about KFC and the Italian restaurant are forever smile inducing to me.

I don't do ups, they break the law of gravity, and I obey they law.

He will be missed.

Always happy when he would come on Pandora Today's Comedy station on my way home from work.

At least he knew who/what he was and he shared and celebrated it with us.

Well said.

I first heard him back in 2000 or 2001 on XM Comedy. I laughed my ass off like never before. I think it was his cruise ship soap routine. Then recently I found some of his live stuff on youtube and it made him even funnier. I even tried bugging him on Twitter to come to LaughFest here in Michigan but he never replied.

Sad day for comedy. The man was great.

It may seem harsh but from looking at the youtube links I would say age 50 is about the maximum life expectancy for him. You carry around double the weight you are supposed to and it's going to catch up with you.

Too bad as he seemed to be a good talent.

actually, no. You have no idea what you are talking about and sound ignorant and judgmental.

John's not dead. He just realized he was morte di fame and that the motherland (Italy) was only 45 minutes down the road.

RIP John.

Sure I am. And there are also all kinds of 80+ year old 400+ lb people bopping around.

I feel sorry for the guy-he was a real talent. But being grossly fat is almost always a sentence to an early death.
