I'd invite Trump to my funeral but I'd also have Barry Obama, Stephen Colbert, Rachel Maddow, Jimmy Kimmel and Jon Stewart sit in front side and back of him and then have them come up to the lecturn and roast Trump's ass as my parting gift to the world.

Trump is that racist, curmudgeonly uncle you never invite to special events because the Time To Embarrassment (TTE) can be measured in seconds. Even if Trump hadn't insulted all POWs, McCain probably wouldn't want Trump finding a way to make the funeral about himself.

I wonder if all the former presidents will be there. It'd be interesting to have the two people that beat you in elections there, but not the current president that you didn't run against.

If I were him, I'd sure as hell not want Trump there either.

Somehow I don't think Johnny has anything to worry about. (With regards to Trump showing up that is, his dead man walking status however...)

Truth be told, I don't want any current or past President at my funeral. I want them long, long dead before I die.

Trump says, "I prefer Senators who don't die in office"

At least McCain stuck to his guns, unlike that slimeball Ted Cruz

Well, he sold a big chunk of himself when he ran against Obama. He did not sell out completely, and, I was happy when he told that guy that Obama was a good man, but he did sell out a lot. I think he tried to get some of it back, but he did not stick to his guns like he could have.

Still sad if he goes though. Better than the majority of the people in office that are Republican.

“He’s an Arab!!!!!”

“No Ma’am, he’s a decent man”

That is not what happened.

Woman - "I can't trust Obama. He's not, he's not, he's uh, um, he's an Arab".

McCain - "No ma'am. He's a decent family man and citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues, and that's what this campaign is about".

The context is that people had been saying he was a terrorist and was going to destroy the country. McCain had enough and finally addressed it. McCain went on to defend Obama even further. He was not simply responding to the Arab comment.
