When the debates start the party is over. While Bush handled himself well against Gore, Kerry has an arsenal of attacks to use against the president, and "with all the pressure of trying to come up with answer," I'm not so sure he will be able to handle them.

I won't be surprised to see a smirking Kerry watching as a confused Bush hopes "something will pop into [his] head."

I want to find out what the energy is like surrounding this guy as of late.

Energy? He *maybe* had 1500 people show up at a rally here in DesMoines the other day.(some say it was only 1000)
Please cite your source, because I call BS. According to the Des Moines Register, 3,000 attended:
Kerry energizes Democrats.

Exactly - but it is BS. We had people there counting;) Infact one guy I was talking with actually called the Register and talked with the "reporter" who filed the story and then talked to some editor(I don't remember the name he said) but they both said that there was not an official count and that it probably wasn't as big as what was published.

So sure -you can believe the guess by the Register or you can read what others reported about it and see that there weren't 3000 as the Register claims.
KCRG-TV9: "He addressed a crowd of about 1000 people for a little over a half an hour."

NYTimes: "Mr. Kerry told a friendly crowd of more than 1,000 people at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines."

IowaStateDaily: "Kerry said to 1,200 supporters at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines."

Daily Iowan: kerry "told approximately 1,500 people that lessons he learned from the Iowa caucuses have stuck with him."

So what is it Bow? 1000, 1000, 1200, 1500, or the 3000 as reported by the Register:p

I'll stick with the "*maybe* had 1500" thank you very much;)

CkG

According to WHO-TV (who reported an attendance of "about 2000") said that "campaign staff was hoping for a crowd of 5000." ;)
... and KCCI reported "several thousand." Nonetheless, my bad. I don't follow Kerry as closely as you do. I didn't realize there was so much debate about how many people attended.

Well, there isn't really a "debate" per se, it's just that the turnout was poor at best for a National nominee(presumptive) especially since he won here in Iowa. So it goes to the issue of there being an "energy"(or rather the lack of) around kerry.

Buyer's remorse?;)

2. The last senator to be elcted was JFK ans he's no JFK, way too much bagage.
3. Last non-southern dem to win was JFK, and he's no JFK.

Does it really matter which moron runs our country. Neither of them will be as good as Clinton was. He was a president for the people, not for the oil.
