some bad press!! man this guy annoys me soo much. even though i don't own a viper, and probably never will afford one, just the fact that all the car magazines think he's some viper god, when in reality, he's just a shady scam artist. this guy is finally getting something that's been due for some time now. article from autoweek:

I'm still dumbfounded as to why a guy with as much going for him as he did, ended up taking the dark path to fortune?

I just don't understand it. You've got a waiting list of people with way too much freaking money for their own good more or less throwing it at you to build a fast car. Why in God's name do you have to go out and screw them over for a couple hundred grand, when if you stuck with it for 5 years or so, you could make endless amounts more?

I'm really just perplexed on the whole thing.

I know nothing about this particular situation, but in most cases the businessman doesn't intend to rip anyone off. There's a cash flow problem, and to get through it he "temporarily appropriates" funds with every intention of making things right before there are any repercussions. But things don't turn around as fast as he hopes, so he has to borrow just a little more, and just a little more... and before he knows it, it's too late. Once you're in that deep, you can't just 'fess up, or else the jig is up.
