Thurrott, for all the vitriol he spews on Apple, he does often recognize when Apple does something right. Before WinMoPho7 came out, he was using an iPhone, he is one of the 15 people with an AppleTV 1, and has a couple of other nice things to say. Usually he phrases it 'Apple just unveiled <product>, which is very similar to <technology> that Microsoft created X years ago, and is being hailed as 'innovative'.

But, he is also willing to point out Redmond's problems as well. He has been pretty objective about WinMoPho all things considered, identifying both its flaws and its strengths.

And what is the point of going after someone if they are making your point?
