John Elway Super Bowl XXXII touchdown scramble

I remember the run that ended in the spin you're referring to, but my memory of that particular run is that it resulted in a first down but not a TD.

Actually, I think in "Any Given Sunday" Oliver Stone had a Dennis Quaid's QB character run for a TD end in a massive hit/propeller spin which left him injured in the playoff game.

Maybe confusing the two?

Yeah I just watched the highlights, it was for a first down. He did score a rushing TD, though, didn't he? Could have been Superbowl XXXIII.

never seen it. Dennis Quaid is one of my favorite actors though... maybe I should.

I really enjoyed "Any Given Sunday" in 2000 when it came out as a popcorn flick, just don't go expecting expecting realism, unless you think Lawrence Taylor regularly chainsaws quarterback's SUVs in half when they insult him.

The box score on the same site I linked to shows that Elway did have a 1 yard touchdown run in SB 32, it just wasn't the one that ended in the propeller spin.
