Yup... The National Enquirer...

What the hell... It's been kind of slow on the campaign trail lately and we haven't heard much from anyone other than Clinton and Obama. Lets have some fun. Who wants to bet if this is true or not? Say what you will... the NE usually gets this stuff right. It's more accurate than Drudge is on these things.

(If it is true... what an asshole. Cheating on his dying wife?)

NATIONAL ENQUIRER WORLD EXCLUSIVE: JOHN EDWARDS LOVE CHILD SCANDAL!
Copyright National Enquirer, 2007

The woman linked to Presidential candidate John Edwards in a cheating scandal is more than six months pregnant and telling a close confidante that Edwards is the father of her unborn child, The NATIONAL ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.

The NATIONAL ENQUIRER's political bombshell comes just weeks after Edwards emphatically denied having an affair with Rielle Hunter, who formerly worked on his campaign.

But The ENQUIRER has now confirmed not only that Rielle is pregnant, but she is also living in Chapel Hill, N.C. in a gated community, just a few streets away from Andrew Young, who has been a key official in Edwards' campaign.

Young has been in charge of looking after Hunter, according to sources, and she has been careful to stay out of sight during Edwards' campaign. A former Director of Operations for Edwards' campaign, Young's last official position with the campaign was North Carolina Finance Director.

He left that job about a month ago ? nearly the same time Rielle relocated from the New Jersey area to Chapel Hill.

In a bizarre twist, Young, a 41-year-old married man with young children, now claims HE is the father of Reille's baby.

But others are skeptical about his claim and talk of a political cover up is heating up.

Reille, when contacted in person by the NATIONAL ENQUIRER, denied that she was Reille Hunter. Later, she hired a lawyer and issued a statement, saying that Young is the father.

But a source close to the 43-year-old divorcee says Rielle has told a far different story privately.

"Rielle told me she had a secret affair with Edwards. When she found out that she was pregnant she said he was the father."

Rielle loves Edwards and will do anything to protect him, the source said.

The NATIONAL ENQUIRER has obtained exclusive photos of a visibly pregnant Rielle and learned from close sources that she has been in phone contact with Edwards. That information has not been denied by anyone.

"Rielle told me while Andrew Young is a friend, she's not romantically involved with him," says the source close to Rielle.

MORE DETAILS WILL BE POSTED HERE LATER AND ARE IN THE NEXT EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER!

Yep, that Newt Gingrich is somekind of wonderful....

Aren't you always running around accusing people of pulling the "But Bush" card?

If it's true, his presidential run is done irrevocably. Those of us with a clue knew he was done anyway, but apparently we forgot to tell him. This will remind him. Nobody is going to be creating bastards while his wife is dying from cancer and expect to be president.

Say what you will... the NE usually gets this stuff right. It's more accurate than Drudge is on these things.

More accurate than Nancy Reagan's astrologer, maybe, or more accurate than random chance on a good day...

Must be desperate for mud to sling to quote the NE, Whoozyerdaddy....

Was that on the same page as an alien abduction article, or bigfoot lovechild claim?

Did you even read my OP? What part of "lets have some fun" didn't you understand? Who gives a crap about Edwards as a candidate anyway? I certainly don't. Jesus Christ... is there a humor lobotomy you have to get to post in here? Was I sick that day? The real joke here is that the NE is acting like they just "got" a "major candidate" for president.

But I wouldn't expect you to get that. And why do you care so much? If you posted up something about Fred Thompson's love child I wouldn't care. Hell, I'd laugh along with you.

Like I told the first guy... lighten up Francis.

It should be noted that The Enquirer is now owned by a huge Clinton supporter. Coincidence? I think not.

This looks to be a hit piece straight from Team Clinton. Edwards is a huge threat, especially in Iowa, where he seems to be nearly everyone's second choice.

Not to mention, a few Edwards votes would likely go to Hillary.

I would think that Obama would pick up most of the Edwards vote though.

I think the Democrat party is broken up into two parts right now. People who want Hillary and people who want anyone but Hillary.

Anyone seen any polling data to back this idea up?

Honestly wouldn't surprise me. Edwards always gave me a bad vibe, and I've never met the guy.

ABCNEWSWASHPOST POLL: Iowa: Obama 33%, Clinton 29%, Edwards 20%...

EDIT: What in T F: Edwards leads?

What is this? Who the good @*$# is supporting this douche? He is a baby. Doesn't anybody remember how manhandled he was by Cheney? C walked all over him like he was a little baby, not to mention his solution is to tax the ever living hell out of us, even more severely than Clinton.

Oh sweet, the campaigns are swinging bastard child accusations around again. Maybe Bush got confused and forgot what year this was ? Also, is this one black per chance? I hope it's of polish heritage, we don't get enough cover in the press these days.
