jogging -> lower chest pain?

lozina

Lifer
After doing a 1.5 mile jog in the park today (I haven't jogged in a long time so I was quite rusty and having a tough time with the hills) I started to get some tenderness in my lower chest, right on the bottom of the ribs... If I gently press the bottom few ribs it causes alot of pain- is that ok? I think those ribs are mostly cartilidge anyway right? Maybe from my lungs pushing them out so much ?

It's called a side stitch. SUCK IT UP! 😛

They're harmless, seriously. If you run through the pain, it'll eventually go away and you'll be that much tougher!

applying pressure in that area while you run will help and controlling your breathing will too

also try to do more situps to strengthen your abs

you got a CRAMP!

havnt had one in years 😉 i run in college :beer:

they go away after you run for a while and keep it up
