Shit I wouldnt even know what to do.

Give it to the cops, fear retribution by the guy who was supposed to pick it up.

Keep it, but I wouldnt even know how to move a kilo of coke..

Keep it and have the greatest times of my life with my friends and probably OD very soon LoL.

$675,000 would be close if you assume that's a typo/journalistic error and it's actually for the whole lot, using Iceberg's high end estimate.

I agree with TheNinja... Just keep jogging knowing that karma would kick in and kill you if you were meant to actually pick it up. I see nothing good of this, someone is searching this guy out like a hound

Hide it at least 3 miles from your home, take some pics and tiny sample for proof. Call that shady guy you know who married your cousin (use cheap prepaid phone if you're feeling extra nervous). Tell him his guys can have it for $100k if they bring the cash in 3 hours, otherwise you're calling five-oh anonymously so they can get it instead. Shady guy brings cash, you show him pics and sample, get cash, and give him address. Deposit $80k in credit union CD and go on vacation for two weeks in Monaco. Wash hands of the whole thing.

Edit: Oh, and burn the clothes you wore and have your vehicle professionally cleaned from top to bottom.

If he turned it all in, there's no purpose to be searching for him.

good plan.

...though I'd ask for 300k.

but I still think the people shady cousin knows would have contacts with the traffickers....if they aren't the traffickers.

Though, in a way, it could be a finder's fee. As a drug-trafficking businessman, I don't think I would have a problem with that; but I wouldn't expect drug traffickers to not murder me after getting the location.

Meh, the noise you'd put out there by trying to find buyers big enough to have that kind of money would also probably attract cops.

"The traffickers" already have a supply from people whose family in mexico will be murdered if they snitch. The blow just piles up in mexico. Why would they buy from some random person, who could be a cop? Chances are, you'd find a cop yourself, before you got busted. You'd have much better luck just selling a little at a time to them, hopefully eventually selling all of it before getting caught.

To much risk for me. If I had touched the bag on the beach, I'd have just called the cops from the beach. I wouldn't want my fingerprints in the wrong guberment database.

I think 100k just to dump it ASAP, and because it's probably not enough to make your cousin think it might just be better to torture you for the info instead of paying the cash... and you can always think of it as him owing you a favor in the future. ;)

After that, it's someone else's problem, and they're better at working that kind of shit than I am.

bury some in the yard for the lulz, disperse the rest in the wind somewhere. hell he coulda just tossed it in the ocean or whatever, ruined even if not dispersed. going to the cops..i dunno, then folks know who you are and can get back at u ..25 bricks worth of cost is probably going to result in some kind of revenge.

his story is suspect; he should of never went to the cops; they could have a leak; should of left it alone instead of getting cold feet.

I looked up the price of cocaine in the US, and the average price is $110/gram street price. This suggest that it was a typo...the author might have meant that wholesales price for the entire 25kg package is worth $650,000.

25 * 1000 * 110 = $2,750,000 street price

Could get busted with possession of drugs with the intent of distribution (2.5 years or more jail term), or worst case the drug lords come knocking on your door asking for the missing coke.

I almost read the title as "Jagger finds 25 bricks of cocaine.." but 'Jogger' is more surprising. :D

wholesale for a key is no where near 675k.

retail for a key can be anywhere between $12k -25k

After tap dancing on it and you can triple the volume(at least). So 75000g x $50 = $3.75 million is the real figure I come up with and it would increase from their if you were going to convert it to crack. I dont know what math they used.

Retail @ $50 a gram would give each key a "street value" of $1,100,000 with a total street value of $27,500,000

What is a key?

Kilo mean thousand, hence 1 Kilogram meaning 1000 grams.

$50 * 1000 != $1,100,000

it ranges from 40-50 bucks a gram in this area, 45 * 1,000 = 45,000 * 25 = 1,125,000 ~ 1,100,000

Actually, there's probably a decent chance that his first thought was "jackpot! I'm gonna be rich!" Then, after taking it home, he realized the same thing that most of the people in this thread realized: there would be no way to sell that volume without getting caught or killed.

For those who suggested that he found more than 25, but only turned in 25 - then the traffickers are going to be thinking "I put 30 bricks in that bag. That f'er has 5 bags left in his apartment."
