It's ALMOST like the part of the point (if not most/all) paternity leave is to SUPPOR and HELP the person who gave birth - you know gestated a new human being in their womb for 9 months causing countless physical and mental changes to their body putting it through extreme stress and shock. I was in Germany once for a week, and I was 12, so 34 years ago. We stayed in Leverkeusen *SP, but went to Bonn and also a couple small towns in the mountains where our friends we were visiting were from, went to a beer festival. I was amazed to see big blue and green recycling bins on the sidewalks. Something you just have started to see in the states in the last 10 years. Public trans was robust and clean where we went. Everything ran very well. It was so efficient. Maybe it's AI, since in Germany nobody works like in America.

I lived there in the early/mid 90s, and they had large public bins set up for recycling glass, with separate bins for different colored glass. This was in Bavaria. And yes, at home we separated our recycling as well.
