How in the hell can Paterno be losing to him in a Poll for Greatest Football Coach poll on ESPN.com? Is it rigged? How can you argue with this?

"He guided Penn State to two National Championships and five perfect season as well as a 20-9-1 bowl record."

All of the coaches in that poll are current coaches, so my guess is that it's not the greatest coach of all-time, rather, the greatest college football coach this season. In that case, Beamer could be considered the best coach in college football considering the team lost Michael Vick to the NFL and Lee Suggs has been hurt for just about the whole season (and I'm sure there are other players that graduated or are hurt, but those are the two major ones that come to mind). Despite those setbacks, VT was a top 20 team all year. IMO, the only other coach that could be considered for coach of the year from that list is Gary Barnett.
