He's in pain for sure, looks pretty crappy. The slow mo of it was pretty bad. It would hurt anyone, let alone an athletic 79 year old. He basically got it from the front down low by a player who was sliding along the ground. Took out JoePa's legs. Some guys were holdiong him up, and the y finally got him to the bench.

Coach Joe has been a great guy over the years. For several years, he had a special program for his "learning-challenged" athletes.
One Friday, he called "Bubba" into his office, and told him that his grades were failing, and that if he couldn't do better, he'd have to cut him from the team.
Bubba was heartbroken. All he knew was football....
Coach Joe told him that if he could answer 2 questions right, he could get him a waiver, and he could stay on the team...
Question 1...
How many days in a week start with "T"?

Question 2...
How many "D"s are there in "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer"?
He sent Bubba home, and think on it, and come back the following Monday with the answers.
"OK", said Bubba...

Come Monday, Bubba showed back up in Coach Joe's office...
"Well Bubba, do you have the correct answers"? Coach Joe asked.

"Yessir, Coach, I think so", he replied...

"OK, Question one...How many days of the week start with "T"?

Bubba thinks for a minute, and says; "2 Coach...Today, and Tomorrow".
Coach Joe looks at him for a minute, and says "Well, that's not quite the answer I was looking for, but the number is right, so I"ll give you that one".

"Now, Question 2...How many "D"'s are in "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"? Coach Joe asked.

Bubba says, "Coach, that one gave me a LOT of problems, and I thunk on it for the whole weekend, but I think I finally got it...The answer is 43".

"Uhhh, How did you get that Bubba?" the coach asked.

"Well coach, "dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee. Dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-deeeee."........

Bubba started in that weeks game...

I saw that. That was weird. What's the final score?
I had to leave with 8 minutes left in the game.
--edit--spoiler below for those who DVR'd the game.

Score did not change.

I was watching the game when it happened too, knew it was him right away and when they showed the replay it looked scary! ...we'll see what this does to his retirement plans, not to mention the race with Bowden for most wins.

Too bad his glasses didn't get broken - I bet he's had those things since 1958.

There is a bronze statue of him outside of Beaver stadium, where Penn State plays, and some folks fixed a bandage around his knee. Sort of fun (all things considered), I suppose.
