Maybe i'm way late on this stuff and you've already discussed it, but has anyone else heard that this whole thing may be a hoax. I guess there are rumors going around that the joke is really on US, that the guy DOES have $50 million. Apparently his real last name is "Mariott" like the hotel chain.......yet they don't use that name in the game. And several real construction workers have been quoted as saying basically that if you work in construction and claim to only make $19,000, you are either a liar, or you only have one working arm or something. They say the average pay is around $40,000 and $19,000 is pretty much unheard of.

I know there are websites and stuff out there that talk about this too. Does anyone have any more info to offer?

maybe he's just a part time construction worker? Keep in mind with the way he spoke you could tell he was no millionaire. He sounded like Putty from seinfeld.

If he was really a millionaire and the joke is on us, and FOX hasn't actually told us the joke, then it's not really a joke.
