What kinds of jobs are these BTW? More hamburger flipping?
You're right!! Every single new job was at a Walmart or McDonalds. In fact check out Monster.com, nothing but Walmart listings. WOAH!!
All those people who lost their outsourced jobs have gotten desperate and are taking part time jobs at Wal-Mart. I'll buy this 'recovery' if anyone can show me data on the average household income minus the top 10% now or at any point since 2000 being at the same level or higher.
last line from the link in this post:
Average hourly earnings rose to $15.49 from $15.47.
now two cents may be small, but its times hundreds of millions of americans, so its a good sign.
oh and upper management, CEOs and the likes are discluded from this, as they are not "hourly" wage workers. pretty sure it also discludes most of silicon valley, since a tech worker will get paid the same amount for the entire day whether they work 6 hours or 10 hours (Unpaid overtime is automatically expected in the valley, as it has always been it you want to remain competitive)
oh, and i'm anti-bush based purely on his enviromental policies. sure his double tax cuts have put more money in my pocket (and yours unless you're posting from a McDonalds located inside a Walmart).
as far as i'm concerned the president plays a very small role in the macroeconomic picture.
