Background: I want out of public accounting. I want to get back into corporate internal accounting.

Job A:
I had an interview on Friday. This company is a smaller public accounting firm. I met with the two partners/founders. I know I said I wanted to get out of public accounting, but I was at least curious to see what the job would be like.

Pros: An awesome compensation package including a much larger salary than what Im getting paid now, + semi-annual bonus, and all of the normal company benefits.

Cons: 45 minute to 1 hour commute, and 50%-75% travel.

Job B:
I had the interview for this position on Monday. I met with the controller at a medium size company. The office is literally 5 minutes from my house, and the salary we discussed is more than what I am making now. I met with a Senior Financial Analyst and that went well. We talked, laughed, and really "hit it off". Then I met with the Controller, and we discussed a few things that were already discussed on our phone interview. I emailed the Controller later that night, after the interview and thanked him for the interview and everything. I also informed him that I had received another offer, and I asked what was the time frame that they were looking to hire someone. He emailed me back this morning, and he said that they would make a decision on Friday and that I was one of the strongest candidate they have seen.

Pros: 5 minutes form house, larger salary, comfortable job

Cons: None that I can recognize

I really want Job B and I hope they offer me the position on Friday.
