Ive been jobless so far since school's been out back around may 4th or so.. Ive applied and applied and applied... and for like almost two months now i havent gotten a job yet...

finally, yesterday, i get a call in the morning from the Federal Bankruptcy Court in Atlanta (they were hiring me, not notifying me of bankruptcy)... They set up a meeting for today and I go meet the boss and find out what i have to do and everything.. Im hired, start monday... 10$ an hour or so... its an internship.... 40 hrs a week...

I come home, happy that i finally got a decent job, not like im flippin burgers or anything....

bout 2 hours after i come home, I get a call from TMTS engineering division.. about an assistant engineer position i put in for a few weeks ago... seems he wants to hire me too... dammit... he pays 12$ an hour but its only 20 hrs a week of work.. which is kinda good, considering ill get some damn rest.... work includes a little html, photoshop, CAD, and LAN maintenance and hook-up sometimes...

im a Mechanical Engineering major at Georgia Tech so I know that the job with TMTS would probably be better for me.... but i kinda already took the job w/ the Bankruptcy court...

I just thought I'd share, and ask if anybody has gone through a similar situation before... and what i should do... thanks for advice in advance...

i would take the engineering one man, talk to your new employer and let him know your situaion. btw, make sure you have this second job so you dont end up like the dog with two bones.

Take the 40 hours. It has better benifits and job security. They pay quite well for IT professionals in the courts. You have your foot in the door. Now work it to your advantage.

Congratulations!:D

Take the one that will give you the most experience to help your career when you graduate regardless of hours/money.

Agree with bozo...the paycheck is not the main thing right now, resume building is what you need to do.

Don't worry about the Atlanta job...it would not make a difference after you graduated anyway for references, etc.

sure aaron.. i wish life was that damn easy... eventually I would have spent all my money on beer, and what's the term for that..... alcholic....

then the next class for me would be AA, instead of mechanical engineering..

but it sounds fun anyways...
