The Christmas season is usually pretty slow for "professional" careers (and by that I mean any sort of office work). If you can hold up for the next month or so the market should start picking up again.

Stick with it and you'll find something eventually...patience is the key my friend. I've been doing contract work for over 2 years now and as frustrating as it can be I know that having patience is the only way you can survive when you're hunting for a new job.

Go to your local library and rent this book. You'll learn that only a very small percentage of people get jobs through web sites like monster. Your best bet is to use the career department of your university and network, network, network. Who you know is the most important thing.

Yeah, it's a bit of a pain. I've been researching summer internships since late October and hope to hit the ground running next month.
