My boss is leaving, which means I'm next in line to get his job. Basically its a dead-end at the local site and it's the last job I can take before having to me to a different location. Corporate has yet to take me away, so bottom line within 2 years this job is going to dry up and I will have to move regardless. Not sure if Corporate will offer me something better in 2 years. We work at a customer driven site.

My boss has offered to take me along to his new company. They are asking him if he knows anyone and he respects my work quite highly. Basically it will be more money, at a corporate level, but the location is a bit more expensive CoL. The company will pay for relocation. I will not be working for him, but will be more of a co worker at the new place. It will also bring me to a bigger market and get me out of the sticks.

What are your thoughts? I am leaning towards going with the boss man to the new company. Both companies listed are quite respectable. Probably a coin flip as to which one is better to work for

As you describe it, there are zero advantages to staying where you are now, versus many potential good things at the new place.
