till last august I worked for a telco for 4 1/2 years .... they shut down our facility and laid off 1500+ people ... our replacements are in India ... I was fortunate enough to transfer to an other location within the company with a salary cut .... since then I have a d1ck for a boss and the transsition was rough ( missed a coulpe of pay checks ...but was corrected later ) ... had to take a loan to pay the bills ... insurence was meesed up too.... the position I am woking @ right now is ireplaceable (before they can train somebody for 6 weeks to do my work ) .

I have been offered a position with another company that pays better and has the same benifits ... I thought about not giving a notice and start the new job ... I'm salty because I took my son to the doctors and was rejected since my insurence was messed up by the employer ... Should I give a 2 week notice .... my sane side says yes but my drunk side says fvckem 🙂

what ever I do @ my current job will not hinder me to obtain the new job ...

what do U think ??

That's a tough one. If you plan on keeping that job on the resume with contacts there you don't want to burn any bridges. However, there is the "they screwed me so I'm gonna screw them" satisfaction available to you.

2 weeks notice, if the new job will wait that long, and insist on having an exit interview with somebody neutral. Give your horror stories then.

Even with bad employers, giving a two week notice is a good idea. It looks better when you talk to future employers if they ask about such details.
