Is it best if I just take off from my current job so I could answer the phone if someone decides to call me? What are the chances they will leave a voicemail?

I could just give them my cell so I can pick it up whenever it rings. Good idea?
 
I would give them my cell phone number so I could check their voicemail message when out and about in case it includes directions or meeting times. I would make sure you review your voicemail greeting though, just to ensure it's professional-sounding enough for a potential employer.

e.g. get rid of your message that says, "You've reached Aimster's meat locker so leave a god damn message. I'll see you in the kitchen, ladies 😉"
