So I had my first job interview in a long time. I've been at the same company for six years while I went through high school and college. There was an email sent out a week ago about a job opening in a small family owned business, which was sort of in my field of study.
When I went he seemed to like me a lot, but there were a lot of other candidates. He asked about my school schedule and stuff and said I could maybe work a few days during the week and then once I graduate I would go full-time. He said he would let me know if I got the job.
Should I call back in a few days and inquire about the status or would that look too 'needy?' I really want the job and it would be a huge step from my current job and could definitely last me once I graduated from college, but I don't want to blow any chances.
Thanks.
UPDATE:
Got the job! It's a type of project management position for a local construction company. Only going to be working part-time since I have two months left in school and then go full time when I graduate. Hopefully I'll like it and can grow with the company. Right now they are a pretty small family owned company. Thanks for the suggestions... I did send in a thank you card, whether that helped or not I don't know.
