Job Call Back

Ok this might be a little hard to explain so I will do my best...

I was advised on applying for a job by a friend (call her Jess) Jess said that she had worked there for three summers in a row in order to pay for school, she said that I should go talk to a family friend of hers (call him max) So anyway I go and talk to Max, he gives me an application and I put him down as the person who refered me to the job (because he has been with the company for a long time) Well Jess went to see max (for unrelated reasons) and she asked if he had heard anything about me getting the job, he said they asked about me and he told them what he knew. But he didn't say if I got the job or not...

So my question is, should I call the company on Monday and ask about the status of my application? I applied about a week and a half ago. If you choose no for me to wait could you explain why?

Thanks 🙂

It never hurts to ask.

I'd call. Say hey, I'm Freud, and I want to know about my job application's status.

Pile on some BS about how you think the company is good or whatever if you want, but it probably won't be needed, because you'd probably be talking to the receptionist, unless you get transfered.
