do u think its wise to get a job at 15 with a permit. my dad keeps telling me to wait till i'm 17 or 18 because my main goal right now is to do well in school

definetly, unless your dad gives u good allowance or something, then u can just live off of that.

however, my parents don't give me that much aloowance, so i do a saturday job

You do have the rest of your life to work. If you work 1 or 2 days a week, it would be alright but concentrate on school!

focus on school. there arent many places that hire 15 year olds. they mainly go for the 16, 17, and 18. theyll usually hire the 18 year olds.

I have had a job (Federally Taxed) since I was 14. I worked in a cafeteria until I was 16, then I worked at Wal-Mart until I was 18, and I have worked at Liebert Corp. ever since. The longest I have went without a job was 2 weeks in between Wal-Mart and Liebert. I don't even know what I would do without a job and the constant flow of income. Your first job is the most proud thing you can have at a young age. There is nothing quite like getting that first check.

Is daddy gonna give you a car? If not.....you better get to work. If he is, then become a jock and play football//basketball/baseball. 😀

You people act like you need to study and focus to do well in high school. You can sleep half the time and not even show up the other half the time and still graduate with a 2.5GPA.

I slept through over half my classes senior year, made straight 5s on my AP tests, graduated with a 3.95.

High school is overrated.

A girl I worked with at a pizza joint started when she was 13. I was in a McDonald's last weekend in Wisconsin, and I swear the kid behind the counter had to be 12 or something...
