Holy craP! that looks like a Kinner! I've flown behind one of those, it is sweetness. Redline 1750, cruised at 1650. It is so slow you can stick your hand up out of the open cockpit and feel each beat of the blade.

Well, it does say "kinner" in the video title... ;)

Yay wiring.

I replaced my OEM boost gauge (worthless) with an oil pressure gauge (worthwhile):

The backlight bleeds around it pretty bad...debating on pulling the cluster again and trying to seal it off with electrical tape or something.

I also ran the wiring and vac line through the firewall for the wideband controller/gauge and the electronic boost controller. I ran out of vacuum line..so tomorrow I'll get some more and finish wiring the wideband. Tomorrow we should also be welding the dump tube/etc so I can get the car running again.

Looks like fun times! My neighbor is a better welder than I, he'd be all over that.

Wideband gauge mounted for now..might do something else with it later:

And pre-project photos of the old downpipe, specifically to illustrate a brilliant previous owner who welded mild steel to stainless steel, and also to point out the amount of material we (meaning JCH13, naturally) had to remove:

It's a chain clamp in name.

There is also a chain vice. If you just need to hold the pipe while you work on it then many vices have pipe jaws as well.

Educated guess on what to do with the dump tube...using heavy wire and pipe insulation to mock it up:

Good enough!
