According to Forbes magazine, Harry Potter scribe J.K. Rowling earns a reported $230 a minute. Rowling is the only non-American to hit the top ten list of highest-earning celebrities. Hannah Clark of Forbes says:

While celebrities grab headlines, it is rarely actors who make money. If you want to keep making money in the long term, you need a winning franchise and J.K. Rowling is proof of that.

I don't believe that she makes $230/min.

Let's say we take an avg. work day of 8 hours. That's over $110,000 in that day alone. In a 5 day work week, she makes just over $550,000. And as much as I know the whole harry potter is a huge franchise...I still can't see how they come up w/ $230/min.
