I would have loved to have seen the episode where Jim Everett got pissed off and went after him. Saw the replay but not the whole thing.

Most of Rome's thoughts and views are just nonsense, and therefore have no respect for the guy.
 
yeah like a bunch of people already noted, he pauses way too much. Its hard for me to sit through it. I rather listen to KNBR sports radio here in Northern CA
 
the reason he pauses so much is to attract your attention. as described by another infamous pauser, Tom Leykis, Radio is a secondary form of entertainment. You listen to it in the car, on the way somewhere, or while talking to somebody. You don't actually listen to it. But if the host does frequent pauses, it makes you pay attention to what they are saying. It's annoying, but apparently it does what it's supposed to.
