People keep saying this but it's inaccurate.
Many states, mine included, require background checks etc to purchase at a gun show. Here, we need a permit from the Sheriff's dept for each gun purchased. And, of course, the Sheriff's Dept does the background check.

And then the largest states like Texas and Alaska don't require background checks at a gun show. Kind of makes it hard to take a used gun to a gun show and sell it to someone if a complete background check is involved first. Now, if there is a database of eligible gun buyers that can be made searchable at the gun shows, this type of requirement wouldn't be an issue to me, at least.
