It's foolish to complain about the david robinson/tim duncan syndrome. This is where you should be very greatful, because there was no way the colts were going all the way this year regardless.

Oh, I'm happy we might end up with another franchise QB. However, had Polian built the team correctly, not only would we have a few wins now, but maybe 1 or 2 more SB wins as well.

I don't think Polian has "skimped" on the defense. However, I do believe he has put a lot of money into the defensive end position and no where else. I also don't believe their defensive drafts have been too good. They are not the best at drafting CB's and interior lineman.

If you want the truth, I think he has skimped on the offensive line. That is generally what is killing you guys right now. You guys can't get a run game together, and that allows the other teams defense to sit back in coverage and give you nothing. Manning was able to pick apart teams that did that, but right now, Painter and Collins aren't good enough to read defenses and do that.

He has most definitely skimped on defensive coaching and rather than use top picks on necessary players (LBs, secondary) he does dumb stuff like draft Jerry Hughes. The bolded is an understatement.

100% correct as well.
