Still angry about the idea of an Islamic cultural center opening near Ground Zero, a group of Idaho gun enthusiasts decided to fight back with a new line of pork-laced bullets.

South Fork Industries, based in Dalton Gardens, Idaho, claims its ammunition, called Jihawg Ammo, is a “defensive deterrent to those who violently act in the name of Islam.”

Guys have been rubbing down their ammo with bacon for a long time, but it's been individuals. This stuff is probably nicer to your bore though, bet it smokes less. Somehow I think this will be more noteworthy reaction wise coming in business venture form.

I agree this makes us look horrible, but there is a certain "heh" factor in taking advantage of an enemy's delusions.

Watch, that company will probably do very, very well. Plenty of like minded knuckleheads willing to drop cash on that shit. Soon they'll be adding different varieties.

I never understood why pork and other foods are forbidden in Judaism and Islam, but not Christianity. The Christian reasoning behind it makes a lot of sense. If it's created by a perfect God, than it cannot possibly be unclean.

There are old tales about Christian sailors populating islands with only pigs to eat, to keep Jews from inhabiting them. No idea how much of it is true.

I'm not a particularly big fan of Islam or any of the Abrahamic religions. However, I'm starting to think that the entire United States has finally gone batshit insane, in general but particularly over this terrorism nonsense. The country is resorting to 1950s McCarthyism. I thought this would have all blown over since Iraq ended. However, it seems worse than ever. You now have brother spying on brother in the off chance that he might be a jihadist. National unity is breaking apart, everybody is paranoid. America desperately needs an influential voice of reason to put an end to this madness. Where's an Edward R Murrow when you need him?

Jesus said (paraphrased): "It is what comes out of a man, not what goes into him, that makes him unclean". To my understanding, that is the basis for foods being 'clean' for Christians.
