With all the talk about Iran - Israel -Jew

Here is a Dutch doc. on Jews living in Iran.

I don't know how old the video is. I will translate in the morning if anyone really wants me to do so. If so tell me here and I will.

And its funny to watch girls wear scarfs that are serving very little to no purpose Personally I follow the "wear it right or just don't wear it" crowd...

btw is that Farsi? If it is...Makes me realize that just because the two languages have existed next to eachother for over 1000 years doesn't mean I'll get anything I would think that maybe I might be able to hack through it just a little bit...not true

if you could translate or atleast give the gist of what they were talking about throughout the film would be good. OBviously I could tell they were asking something about Isreal a lot...whether it is their opinion of it, or if they wanted to go there to live...or something~

The link was down when I tried it.
But from what I have read Jews in Iran have a far better life than anywhere in the middle east (of course Iran is not the middle east).
While they can't get civil service jobs and have other avenues closed to them, they are allowed to practice their religion and live in relative harmony with their muslim neighbors.
I have heard it explained that Iranian mullahs preach that as 'people of the book' (the Quran) Jews are to be afforded respect.

It is still not acceptable that they have any discrimination placed on them because of thier religion.

They don't.

Under Islamic Law in Iran

*They are protected and their religion is recognized
*Alcohol is allowed to them while it is banned for all others.
*They get to vote, have a board member in the Iranian cabinet, are allowed to run for public office.
*They are allowed Jewish schools and synagogues.

Khomeini said "The Jews of Iran are to be recognized and protect by the law. Our struggle is with Israel not the Jewish people"

Iran's Islamic law, system is all based off of Khomeini.
