What kind of jewelry stores (mom & pop shops or chain stores) should I go to for good deals on quality merchandise?

Anybody have any recommendations? I'm in Southern California.

I'm planning on buying white gold diamond earrings and matching belly button ring for my girlfriend for our 2 yr anniversary.

chinatowns/asian stores... if you're asian and can negotiate.

otherwise smaller stores is the best way to go. can't really recommend one off the top of my head.
 
asian stores dont sell white gold, they mostly sell 24k, which most whities dont care for or didn't know sure thing exist.

You must be talking out of your ass... asian stores have more white gold than any chain stores I know, everything I have and my gf and her mother have are white gold settings.

Mr.Yu, I do my jewelry shopping in Asian Garden Mall in Westminster. If you know any Vietnamese, have them take you there to get yourself some quality shiets. The diamonds offered by these stores have higher quality than most American stores and you'll be paying much less.

You know if they can make something custom like this with white gold and a bezzled diamonds?

Can anyone give me an idea for a good price for something like this but white gold instead of platinum?

Because of my ignorance, buying jewelry is such a hassle. I should have bought and built her a small form factor PC.
