hi all. has anyone driven one of these jetway kocab nforce2 boards? they already have s-ata on board even on the IGP version. I would love to chat with anyone who knows these boards as they arrive here next week hopefully and i already have s-ata drives. my main interest is to discover the IGP revision with wcpuid as i suspect they may have the next gen core. the max dual channel sync fsb speed also interests me. any information at all besides jetway's website will be most appreciated

Any reason you want Jetway in particular? I think every nforce2 motherboard has SATA ports on it. There isn't much discussion of Jetway, they don't have a bad reputation but that's possibly because they don't have the sales volume of other brands so there are fewer people to have problems.

What nex-gen core do you think it might have? GFFX? The IGP in nforce2 is only GF4 MX level.

it is the only one in south africa at the moment. i got one and wcpuid does say C1 so it is a new SPP. the IGP version is not here yet. the capacitors are noticably lower quality than on the EPoX's i currently sell. it has so far been totally unstable when under load in all configuration that i've tried. had to clear the cmos twice just to get it to post after crashing. avoid them at all cost is what i say. maybe it or myself needs burning in. must just add that the EPoX 8RGA+'s are able to do 200fsb dual channel sync easily even when running the on-board graphics.

Jetway is just another front or brand for Hsing tech.

Hsing tech is the company behind the PC Chips empire (they have many, many different brands they sell under - PC Chips being the most infamous).

Don't touch with a 50 foot barge pole.

I have only used a Jetway Motherboard once and had to send back because I had an issue, I later found that it "may" have just been a bios setting but was put off none the less....also supplied someone with a Jetway MX200 graphics card...they were very pleased...no probs there.

I have used dozens of PC Chips board...never a single issue. I thought ECS made PC Chips boards? But then again I have seen sandra mention Hsing Tech Enterprise on Sandra....is ECS part of Hsing Tech?

Yes, ECS are part of the PC-Chips empire. Hsing tech created a lot of their own brands and also bought out or took a controlling interest in a lot of small time motherboard makers who were struggling.

Try doing a google search on "fake cache 486", PC-Chips fraud, hacked BIOS - that's just the tip of a very large iceberg....

this one will not do dual channel even when underclocked! it runs perfecly at 166fsb single channel sync. any more than one peice of memory, single channel or not, and it will barely load windows. been through 5 os installs of varios types so thats not it. maybe the about to be released nvidia drivers will help. trust me and avoid them.
