IF Law is healthy it can be a good signing for the Jets, but even before he got hurt last year he didn't have "it" as he did the previous year. Oh and the Pats managed to win it all w/o him for most of the season. But the TV ratings for their games will be good.

The Pats defense took a major hit. Not just Ty Law. That was what I was refering too. On top of that they are still pushing salary cap limits...

It's hard to knock the defending champs, but they are not as strong as they have been imo. Only time will tell, but the Jets have my vote this year.

But they hurt their depth releasing Ray Mickens, a salary cap casualty because of Law's signing.

They still have Justin Miller and Derrick Strait, along with Pete Hunter.

Current Jets CBs:

Law
Barrett
Miller
Strait
Hunter

I'm not too worried about depth at CB.

Oh, please! The Jets are 10 and 6 in a weak division and with a soft schedule. Come playoff time and they face some of the big boys, their swiss cheese D is revealed and they're home on the golf course.

Miller's a rookie, Strait has barely played and Hunter was less than stellar for the 'Boys last year. Not a lot of experience back there. Not that big of a deal, but it would have been nice to have Mickens.

How can you call the AFC East a weak division? If by weak you mean one of the toughest in the NFL......

Look at the defensive numbers from last year and tell me they have swiss cheese D. By that do you mean top 10 in the NFL?? Their biggest weakness for their secondary. That has been resolved by a strong draft plus the Law signing.

Yeah the Jets are great... but I still don't think Pennington has what it takes....

What?? Buffalo and Miami, and you really want to make the argument the AFC East is "one of the toughest in the NFL"? Put down the crack pipe, Jose.
And your beloved Jets were 10 and 6 because they beat Cincinnati, the Dolphins twice, San Fran, Cleveland, and Arizona. Yeah, real NFL powerhouses...
And with a slow footed, White QB, named Chad of all things, who has a passing range of about 20 yards, yeah, they're going places.
