Jets N Guns

Jets N Guns is an awesomely addictive PC side scrolling shooter (similar to games like R-Type, Gradius, etc.).

The game was mentioned in this thread. I played the demo and loved it. I then got the full version and it's just a blast to play! You can buy different Jets/ships, tons of different weapons, and several jet/ship upgrades. I think there are 43 levels and they vary from spacescapes to low altitude planet runs and everything in between. There's lots of humorous stuff in the game too.

It's pretty hard, even on the lowest setting (or maybe I'm not that good at these games because I always find them difficult), but it's still so much fun.

On Monday night, I played for about 2 hours straight. I kept telling myself that this level was the last on and then had to quit. I played through 4 more levels saying that! I played for about 3 hours straight last night!

I bought Gears of War on Friday for $50 and I haven't even looked at since I started playing this game. I'd rather play Jets N Guns than some of the big name games released recently. I haven't had this much fun in a game or wanted to play a game so much in awhile.

GET THIS GAME!!!

Looks cool. The other thread had a lot of praise for it.

I enjoyed Gradius-type games quite a bit, so I'll check out the demo later today. Although I liked Strike Gunner a little more... that game rocked.

And as far as addicting, my damn roommate bought Joint Ops last week, so I reinstalled it. We started Thursday afternoon, by Friday night I had logged over 14 hours. Holy crap!

Its OFFICIAL!

I know it wasn't on PC, but did you play Gradius V on ps2? I really enjoyed that, in fact I enjoy pretty much every shooter Treasure has made.

Konami made the Gradius games.

I think you're right for the majority of Gradius games, but Im pretty sure Treasure developed Graduis V.

According to Wikipedia it was developed by both.

not a bad game, I liked R-Type better but this is damn fun my 60 minutes is about half gone maybe i'll actually buy it 🙂

I downloaded the demo after reading all the positives in the other thread and soon after removed it.

Are the color and graphics the same in the Full version as in the demo?
I played it for 5min and the color and graphics were too crappy for me.

I remember Gradius and the graphics then, and they are atill better than Jets and Guns.

Oh man this game is awesome.

It has this addictive quality where you keep on playing stage after stage. Game gets easy if you know which weapons to use. If you use the wrong weapons then it's really hard.

Remember Raptor (made by Apogee I believe). That was a great game. I miss games like that--I'll give this one a try when I get home.

I played the demo for a while, and once I got my TotalGaming.net tokens to work, I bought the game (Jets'n'Guns Gold). It is much easier than the demo, which is good because I was getting my butt handed to me on easy. Now the levels are somewhat easy, so maybe I will start over on normal difficulty. It is a cool game though.
