Interested in buying one or two jet skis...probably used. What should I look for? What should I avoid? I was interested in Hondas, but they're pretty pricey. Any recommendations?

I recommend you should look for jet skis and avoid airplanes.

Hondas hold their value well and are very reliable.
The only problematic component is the Turbo wastegate actuator, which corrodes and needs to be replaced every 100-150 operating hours.
What is your budget, and what do you want out of these skis?

I am interested to find info about them too. I keep seeing all price ranges on Craigslist.

Ask yourself what you want.
Standup?
Sitdown?
If sitdown, how many people?
2 stroke, 4 stroke?

Naturally aspirated, turbo, super charger?

I'm looking for a sitdown with at least holding two people. My buddy has a turbo charged Honda and that thing FLIES on the water. Also interested in pulling a tube.

Four stroke is desireable.

Budget would probably be up to $5,000.

Most states require a three-seater for pulling tubes (driver, spotter, plus spot for person being pulled)
Honda Skis have near boring reliability.
If you want the Turbo model, look for the X designations in model name.
F12X = 3 seater turbo
R12X = 2 seater turbo

For $5000, you won't get two. But you can get new leftovers for near that price, that are a couple of years old.
I seem to remember that Honda recommends the non-turbo ski for pulling tubes/skis regularly.
