personally, I'd rather have had Jet Li play a big part in the sequels than see Reeves do those cheesy kungfu fights

Jet Li is KICK ASS! For the folks that don't know much about him, his signature movies have been Once Upon A Time in China (like parts 1,2,3 and whatever) and MY personal favorites...Fong Sai Yuk I &amp; II!
Of course those are only a few of his TREMENDOUS amounts of Hong Kong delights.

Li is the JUGGERNAUT of action films in Hong Kong, offering him the $3 mil is just plain RUDE!

Too bad, would've been great to see him in the movies. I hope they do get Michelle Yeoh, she KICKS ASS too!

$30 mil for Keanu is laughable. Whatever gay exec in Hollywood he blew, after the Bill &amp; Ted flicks...He picked the right one.

I'm glad he won't be in them. He just doesn't fit. All of the other characters are people you wouldn't normally see doing this kinda thing...but it's everyday occurance for Jet Li. It would just ruin it.

I'm not usually crazy about Keanu Reeves' acting capabilities, or his roles. I did like him in the Matrix, I thought he fit rather well. I liked everything about that movie, especially the lead agent!!!!!

Jet Li kicked some serious ass in Lethal Weapon 4 (Still trying to figure out how he did that somersault kick that was in all the trailers), but he does not belong as a replacement character for Keanu Reeves.

If there's one thing I absolutely hate in sequel movies, it's when they don't get the same actor to play the same role as the first movie. It drives me up the wall. When I think of Neo, I think of Keanu Reeves, not Jet Li. Morpheus is Lawrence Fishburne, not (arrrrgh) Will Smith. Jet Li would be great in Matrix movies - maybe as an agent or something.
