what the hell is that? I always have it on windows update I ussually never get the service packs or whatever they are for it cause I have no idea what it is but after awhile I ussualy give in and just get them cause im sick of them sitting on there lol what are they and what is there purpose ?
 
It's been a while, but if I remember right the Jet database is used to handle things like the WINS database, DHCP database and some others if you are running a server.

It's also used to handle Access databases.
