Honestly, that's a more fitting description of Bram Stoker and Dracula, which was just the most boring nonsense. I just skim read the rest of the book when there were multiple scenes of the dipshit main character at some public bench where he's writing his wife or whatever and describing his reports, and he's like "he was walking on the ceilings but I might've just been tripping balls from the long trip there, also he has some smoking hot women and they molested me I totally didn't do it willingly!" Guy was such a choad. I gotta give him credit for his Nostradamus level prediction analogy of Dracula and Ronald Reagan realizing society doesn't value people with mental health issues.

Frankenstein is a better book, and the writer or story behind the story is far more interesting too.

Dracula is just an analogy of rich people, wanting to live forever so they suck society dry and turn into fucking weirdos. Which Frankenstein also served as, and likewise both have elements of dealing with our own mortality, but Frankenstein does that much more interestingly as well.

I didn't manage to get past the first chapter of 'Frankenstein': the exposition format of letters being written back and forth was just mind-numblingly boring.
