A surefire way to find a criminal is to literally follow their footsteps. Back in the day, criminals used cow hooves on the bottoms of their shoes so that the police can’t track what kind of shoe they have.

In Jr. High, what is now called middle school, I would ride my bike to school when the weather was nice. On the way home, I would pass one of the first McDonald's in the state, and I always stopped and got a cheeseburger for 15¢ and fries for 9¢.

You could watch the put a potato in their fry cutter, which went into the basket, and straight into the fryer, which was lard or tallow. Best fries ever.

In the bee world, if the queen bee isn’t doing a good job, she’s taken out. This is called a “cuddle death” and is very natural.

It's a wasp, specifically the huge ones from Japan, this is the only defense those bees have. Basically the bees can survive a slightly higher temperature than the wasp, so they literally cook it alive.

That's a Giant Asian hornet I believe, Vespa mandarinia. The bees are indigenous Japanese honey bees who have evolved a slight temperature tolerance advantage over the hornet. They dogpile the invader and cook it with friction by vibrating. The hornet will still kill several bees, but eventually expires from heat related organ failure. European bees don't have this adaptation, will get absolutely slaughtered in that situation.

edit: what they said basically

Several is an understatement, a few can kill an entire colony.
